On OSX Safari, the fallback voice can be male or female. The fallback voice is also female, and is used in the Android default browser, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera.
The main voice we provide (“Australian Female”) is supported in Chrome for desktop, OSX Safari, and iOS Chrome and Safari.
The Australian Female voice is also used in browsers that do not natively support both versions, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Opera.
